My name is Meg, owner and creator of MW Home Goods.
In August of 2020 I got married to my wonderful husband, Matt, and moved to Austin to start graduate school. I had previously been working as a registered nurse but decided to hold off on getting a job for a few months while we got settled in our new city. I started flipping furniture shortly after moving to Austin as something to do in between studying and as a way to make some extra cash. What started as a new hobby and something to keep me busy has now transformed into full-blown side hustle and passion. I love transforming old things that may have been thrown away into something beautiful that people want to have in their homes. Once we moved from our rental into our new home, my passion for creating beautiful furniture and spaces overflowed into our home. I immediately started on several DIY projects throughout our house. I love creating a space that feels comfortable and beautiful for both me and Matt and those we share our space with. I hope by following along that you would be inspired and feel capable to create beautiful spaces in your own life too - whether that is by saving old furniture, thrifting unique decor, or changing the way a space feels with paint.
